Sean Kingston, the 35-year-old American rapper who scored a hit in 2007 with the song “Beautiful Girls,” has been sentenced to 3.5 years in prison by a judge in the US state of Florida for fraud.
Along with his mother, Sean Kingston was found guilty of fraud and conspiracy.
Mother and son are said to have ordered more than $1 million (more than €850,000) worth of luxury goods, submitting false documents to prove payment had already been made.
His mother is already serving a five-year sentence. Sean Kingston pushed for house arrest and compensation, but now she has to go to prison.
